The Forestry Department, as custodian of Brunei Darussalam’s forest heritage, is responsible for the sustainable management, conservation, and development of the nation’s forest resources.
Guided by sound policies and scientific practices, the Department safeguards biodiversity, strengthens climate resilience, regulates and develops the timber industry, enforces forestry laws, and undertakes research, certification and technical advisory services.
It also promotes public awareness and stakeholder engagement, while delivering comprehensive forestry services, including forest management, rehabilitation and climate-related initiatives to ensure the responsible and sustainable use of forest resources for present and future generations.
