Organisers of the Asia Pacific Rainforest Summit (APRS) 2016 will be announcing its photo competition shortlist tomorrow. More than 226 images compete for the photography competition which ended 24 July 2016.
The photos highlight the value of rainforests in the Asia-Pacific region which include photos of rainforests and forest landscapes, the communities who live in and around forests, forest products for trade, health or nutrition, diverse plants and animals that highlight the region's rich biodiversity, or anything else that expresses why our rainforests matter.
The winning photo recipient for The Audiene Choice Awards will be announced online at www.cifor.org on 5 August 2016. Meanwhile, The Jury's Choice Awards was already announced online on 27th July 2016. The winners receive cash prizes of USD$500 to USD$1,000.
All shortlisted images will be exhibited at the Brunei International Airport, Arrival Meet Point Area from 30 July to 14 August 2016.
